ABOUT

I'm a 26 year old artist from Boston Massachusetts. I've loved creating art since I was very young and have chosen to pursue it as a career. I was around horses from an early age and actively rode and worked with horses for 15 years. I could never own a horse of my own and began collecting model horses in the early 2000's. I no longer collect models, but have amassed a herd of over 200 models over the years. I became interested in crossing models and artwork and began re-painting models, eventually experimenting with re-sculpting and creating original sculptures. I have a BFA in sculpture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and was a member of the Massart Iron Corps. Since starting college I've had the opportunity to experiment with multiple different materials including ceramics, metals, plaster, plastics, urethanes, and silicones. I continue to learn multiple techniques and applications for these materials such as mold making and casting techniques. I work full time as a technician at Sincere Metal Works, a fine arts foundry in Amesbury Massachusetts with a specialization in patination.

When creating equine art, I create pieces with both realism and accuracy. I pack as much detail into my pieces as I can, no matter how small they may be. When sculpting my own pieces I not only consider breed confirmation and anatomy, but making sure the sculpture has plenty of expression and ethos.
